Matt Holliday jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Langley Farm
Team defeated the Dyersville Jurassics in 10 innings by the score of 9 to 4
at the ballpark.
The score was tied at 4 after nine. Langley came out the victor in the 10th
inning. The key offensive moment was provided by Chase Utley who quieted the
home crowd when he lofted a three-run 'big-fly'. Langley had a total of 10
hits for the game.
Kevin Gregg(5-5) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Joe Nathan(6-2)
was the loser in relief. Although losing the contest, he whiffed 4 batters
in 1 and 2/3 innings.
With this win, Langley has a 74-71 record. They have been 5-5 lately.
Dyersville will hope that this loss is only a 'blip' on their recent 8-2 run
- and not a start of a new trend.
